One of my favorite things about fall is pumpkins. They are not only delicious (toasted seeds, coffee, pie, cobbler…), they are pretty cute as far as veggies go.
Here’s a fun pumpkin-related happening next weekend…
Pumpkins will take flight with the help of a giant Medevial-style catapult, as part of Pumpkin Launch 2008 held Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Cal State University, Fullerton.
The free event, held at Titan Stadium, is sponsored by the Discovery Science Center in conjunction with the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and offers an interesting take on science and math.
Fun activities include pumpkin carving, a pumpkin launch contest, music, entertainment and more. The university is at 800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton.
