Does your child have healthy teeth? If so, get him or her in front of a camera, photograph those pearly whites, and then enter the photo in the Say Cheese with GOT MILK? Photo Contest.
In honor of National Dairy Month and National Smile Month, both in June, the California Milk Processor Board, the creators of the GOT MILK? ad-campaign, is hosting a photo contest which awards the best smiler with a $500 shopping spree at a toy store, as well as an electric toothbrush and other GOT MILK? goods to promote healthy dental hygeine and dietary habits.
According to a 2006 report by the Dental Health Foundation, more than 50 percent of children already have tooth decay by kindergarten. As they age, it doesn’t get better: By the time 70 percent of children are in the 3rd grade, they have developed some sort of tooth decay.
Take a gander at this jaw dropping post from Suzanne “MomCrush” Broughton to see what the Got Milk? folks are trying to help prevent.
Since its creation, the GOT MILK? campaign has aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of milk and dairy consumption through magazine and television advertisements that highlight the now legendary milk mustache.
Through the Say Cheese contest, GOT MILK? hopes to find the best smiles in California. Parents of California kids ages 6-12 can submit a photo to the contest to the people at Got Milk?. Submissions will be accepted no later than July 31.
Photos can be submitted via e-mail, mail, or in person:
Submit your photos and say “cheese!” with GOT MILK! to raise awareness, prevent cavities, and win big!
