Earlier this month we wrote about Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken, a new collector doll coming from Mattel.
Now, here’s a Barbie doll to be Sugar Daddy’s BFF: Joan Jett Barbie.

She’s part of a Ladies of the 80s collection that Mattel is making available just in time for Christmas.
Joining Joan in toy stores are Debbie Harry and Cyndi Lauper dolls.

Girls still just want to have fun! Because we’ll always love rock ‘n roll, no matter how old we get.
Take our poll:
If you could get just one of these Barbies, which would it be?

I don’t know. I think the Hard Rock Cafe Barbie could probably win a catfight with Joan Jett Barbie.
Hard Rock Barbie is my favorite Barbie ever. But that Debbie Harry Barbie is pretty sweet. I so want her dress!
Remember when we were kids and the Malibu Barbie was the “must have” Barbie? This was back in the days before celebrity themed Barbies. On the one hand these make me feel like an old fuddy duddy. On the other hand, I seriously want that Cindi Lauper Barbie! I loved that song AND the music video! Girls, just wanna, just wanna have fun….
Hm, I just had a thought…did they adjust the bustline of these dolls to mimic their namesakes?
Could be, Martha, could be …
Wait a minute! Where’s Madonna? I hear that Mattel snubbed her when she approached them awhile back to make a doll in her image.
In any case, if they are going to have the’ Ladies of the 80s’ they need the queen!
Could you imagine the arms on a Madonna Barbie?
Mattel probably can’t either.
They could just take them off the Ken doll.
Well, this would be 80s Madonna, not the current one.
G.I Joe
Oh well then I guess they could paint on the arm pit hair. LOL
Siouxsie Sioux Barbie.
I would totally buy that!!!
That would be awesome. =)
In the 80’s my Barbies dated Michael Jackson and Ken. My MJ doll was the only other male, so he was pretty popular in B town. I love the 80’s Barbies! They need some 80’s Kens too.
It’s my understanding there is more than just 3 of them. I think Newspaper skirt Cyndi would have been a much cooler looking Barbie…. They do have the queen of the 80’s…her name is Cyndi. Muahahahahaha.
