• As lovely as it is, Cinderella has no desire to take a ride in the carriage behind us.
• I could feel the spirit of Claude Bell as we explored the grounds.
• The place was crawling with soldiers.
Where in the Orange County are we?

ok you got me stumped. Is that a hearse?
Good eye, Marla. Yep, that’s a vintage hearse.
No idea. I guess HB somewhere? The Cube? No clue obviously
Nope, not in HB. Would you believe that I actually ventured outside of my beloved city?
I’m guessing Knott’s Berry Farm. Camp Snoopy to be exact.
Theresa, you are the winner!!!!!
Also, for those of you who are wondering about Claude Bell: He was a sculptor and portrait artist for Knott’s Berry Farm back in the early days. He also created those cool dinosaurs in Cabazon off Interstate 10. For those who are interested, here is a link to a little story I wrote about them:

Additionally, we saw lots of soldiers because Knott’s Berry Farm pays tribute to past and present U.S. armed forces personnel during Veteran’s Month with free park admission for them and a guest November 1-26 only.
This was the first time to the park for my boys and my first time since going when I was a kid when it seemed that all they had was the mining ride, train and stage coach. Boy, how it has changed - I loved seeing Snoopy there.
It was the fence in front of the carriage that gave it away to me. Many was the time I had to put a restraining hand on my son’s shoulder when he was a little boy to keep him from climbing those fences!
